CLINICAL ADVISOR - CURRICULUM
Jason Gourlas, MPAS, PA-C, ICP
Jason Gourlas has been a physician assistant for over 25 years, graduating from the U.S. Army physician assistant program in 1996. He later went on to obtain his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Texas. He has practiced in a variety of clinical settings to include emergency medicine, family practice, neurotology, surgical critical care.
In 2006, he suffered his own health challenges for which his conventional medical training and experience provided few treatment options and no cures. He began to look into alternative, integrative, and functional (root cause) medicine. It was there that he found the answers that he needed. With dietary and lifestyle modification, his issues were resolved. He obtained more formal training through the Institute of Functional Medicine and eventually, board certification through the American Academy of Anti-Aging.
As a functional medicine practitioner, he is always considering his patients from a holistic perspective. He came to realize the incredible impact that traumatic events and stress had on his patients. In looking for options to ease his patients suffering, he came across Iasis Neurofeedback. After researching the technology and seeing the almost miraculous results experienced by the very same types of patients he was trying to help, he and his wife decided to open a practice with Iasis Neurofeedback as the primary therapy. CereShift was born.
